Socio-pedagogical support and help with homework in Weiden/Oberpfalz

Together with terre des hommes, the Beurer-Foundation provides socio-pedagogical support and help with homework in Weiden/Oberpfalz. There are around 250 young refugees and migrants living in and around Weiden and the project, which is overseen by a working group from the Weiden refuge, campaigns for their right to an education. The project aims to improve the academic and social integration of children and young people.
School work and knowledge of the German language should improve as a result. The aim is to get lots of children to continue their education at secondary school. No child should be sidelined in a special school. These children should also be included in extracurricular activities to promote integration.
