Educational support and female empowerment course with Malteser in Neu-Ulm
Neu-Ulm | January 2017 - December 2017 | Malteser Neu-Ulm
Together with Malteser in Neu-Ulm, the Beurer-Foundation is supporting various training courses. Alongside 6 training courses to become an auxiliary nurse, 8 forklift driver’s licence courses,10 first-aid courses and different German lessons, 1 female empowerment course with 8 participants was provided. The women come from Somalia, Syria, Eritrea, Iran and Iraq.
Since they have small children, up to this point they have not been able to take any integration or introductory orientation courses. The aim of the female empowerment course is to get them out of their own four walls and to encourage them to catch up on the full-time course at a later point.
